Exercise Through Dance!
This fabulous beginners Bollywood Dance class is taught by nationally known choreographer and dance teacher – Georgia Cornwell- from Akademi South Asia dance company. Participants can take part whether seated or in a wheel chair as well as standing.
“This is a really joyful way for me to escape from all the dark things that are going on all around us. At the same time, I’m exercising just about every part of my body. My stiff, old hands particularly feel the benefit of the class and the combination of the music and the dancing leave me feeling much happier with life. This is so needed right now. The teacher is inspiring and very clearly describes both the dance moves and the background to the different dances, so we get some knowledge of Indian culture at the same time.”
